Welcome to Jacobson Environmental
Your source for natural resource consulting services all around Minnesota. Jacobson Environmental has the expertise needed for your projects and offers a wide range of services in conjunction with engineers, surveyors, septic designers, mitigation contractors, and other environmental consultants if necessary. We have an experienced team of 3-5 professionals which varies by season.
Wayne Jacobson, owner, is a Certified MN Wetland Delineator, Licensed Professional Soil Scientist, Certified Professional Wetland Scientist, Certified Fisheries Scientist, and Statewide DNR Licensed-Statewide Herbicide Applicator. He is also a qualified environmental professional for Phase I ESA’s.
Wayne has over 40 years experience on 4000+ projects. He co-authored the 1997 Minnesota Wetland Conservation Plan, co-founded the MN Wetland Professionals Association and has spoken at several State and National Wetland Conferences.

Wayne works 80% of the time with wetland related projects since the 1991 Wetland Conservation Act was passed throughout Minnesota. Wayne often works with clients to bring solutions to problem sites.

Wayne will remove weeds with specific DNR approved herbicides in a controlled manner. Wayne has worked for MNDNR Fisheries and can obtain approval for special work. On lake treatments, Wayne can work with groups of 2 or more landowners.

Wayne will custom design a thorough Phase I Environmental Assessment for your property which is accurate and cost effective. Wayne works with several local institutions performing Phase I ESA's on a regular basis.

Wayne will perform soil borings to 5' bgs year around. He is one of less than 60 licensed Professional Soil Scientists in Minnesota and he is an expert at high water table ID, soil identification, and is often involved in septic soil disputes.
